ARTICLES Previsions for Nakashima Mika 2004/2005 This article will not only be about guessing what Mika Nakashima's new album will be but about all her career since I got to meet her. My first song by her was "Will". A cute ballad with smart lyrics and quite different voice and rythm from what Japanese mucis tends to be nowadays. I'm sure most part of my readers know will... And I should say that now that i know the majority of her workpieces, this song would be an imaginary transitory line between good old Mika and the one we hear right now. My prevision could me summarized in: "this next album will be really boring". Seriously, among all her newest songs (count Love album on that) I can count using only one hand her good songs. And I can't say there is a really good one there just the overestimated... Please, continue to include Love album for the next opinions. After Will, I really enjoyed Aishiteru. It's nice, cute and full of feelings. But I still can't really tell the difference between Love Addict and Seppun. But, to tell the truth I like the latter better because of the video. I'm sure there are people who are still die-hard Mika's fan. I gotta say: she has tallent. But so has Namie Amuro and has no worthy song. Actually, Mika's songs would be good if they didn't seem to keep playing on and on again after each album track. One that keeps increasing in her songs is the bore factor. And I can't understand how she becomes more and more popular if it is getting so dull... I have some options: a)people still haven't heard all her songs b)they want to show themselves off as erudit people and between us, if anyone says he loves mika's songs having really heard her, he's out of my list of respected people c)they are really retarted d)they liked one song and think the same one is playing over and over again Don't get me wrong: I like Mika, she has all the right to be famous... But if a style was a success she shouldn't have repeated it again and again. Now some analisys of her singles which are in her new album: SEVEN: I like this song. A lot of people were complaining but I think it's fun and a little different from the same old stuff (read Yuki no Hana, Find the way, etc) Hi no Tori: back to old style. Boriiiiing! It's cute but... urgh! Oborozukiyo: did anyone get to know this song? It was released in the middle of a lot of things and forgotten. Well, not that it didn't deserve. Boring. Legend: Mika actually kinda changed styles... But she could get even more boring with this song and doesn't seem to have an end! The other one (Fake) was also boring, but in the old style. So, now you understand when I say I'm pessimistic about it? Mika has good lyrics, good voice, a different feel for it al... But it's getting.... errrr... Boring ¬¬ I want Daisuke Kawaguchi to compose another "stars" for Mika!!! She's in a real need for that... I know this album will be another sales success, and I wish that it is for Mika, who is nice. But, please, evolute!!! Anita, 2004.12.03 free hit counter |
